Employees from Orbit got involved with the Great British Spring Clean (#GBSpringClean) this week in Leamington Spa.
Around 12 members of Orbit’s Estate Management and Property Management teams joined customers from Union Park to help local group, Rubbish Friends Warwick District, to take part in a two-hour litter pick.
They collected around 10 bags of rubbish and recycling and Cheryl Flavell, Placemaking and Partnerships Manager at Orbit, explained: “Orbit has recently supported Rubbish Friends Warwick District with funding for equipment. But, we also wanted to help in a more practical way, so we arranged to come down and join Rubbish Friends with one of their litter picks. As well as members of our estates and property teams, we also enlisted the help of our contractors and some of our customers.”
Rubbish Friends is a group of like-minded people who are passionate about keeping local areas clear of rubbish for both residents and wildlife.
