Orbit welcomes experienced marketer Charlotte Steedman to its Homes Board

Orbit has appointed experienced marketer Charlotte Steedman to its Homes Board, as it sets out its plans to build 20,000 homes over the next 10 years having recently announced a record financial performance for the year ended 31 March 2018, reporting a turnover of £357m.

During her career, Charlotte has been responsible for the marketing strategy and delivery of some of the UK’s most notable mixed-use residential developments.

Founder of Conductor, a strategic marketing and delivery partner serving the real estate industry, Charlotte has a wealth of knowledge and experience in build-to-rent, co-living, private sale and regeneration projects across the UK.

One of the largest housing groups in the UK, Orbit is the largest builder of affordable homes in the UK having contributed 2030 new homes over the past 12 months, of which 1,210 were for affordable/social rent. Orbit continues to support the growth of UK housing and plans to build more affordable homes as it sets out on its vision; to lead in building thriving communities.

Charlotte brings a wealth of experience having previously held senior positions within real estate, most recently as Marketing Director at Mount Anvil. Since setting up Conductor she has worked with some of the UK’s most influential property businesses including Canary Wharf Group and Westfield. Charlotte also brings considerable knowledge of the social and community sectors having worked with Notting Hill Housing (now, Notting Hill Genesis) in JV with Sellar, Places for People, HUB and Pocket Living.

Charlotte started her new role with the Board of Orbit Homes in August 2018 and describes herself as having an, “enterprising, entrepreneurial and empathetic nature,” saying, “I was drawn to Orbit as they have social purpose at the heart of all that they do and hence, we have highly aligned values and vision”.
