Orbit, one of the UK’s leading housing associations, launched a campaign last year to promote the great work, attention to detail and customer service delivered by its contractors to highlight examples of where they have gone above and beyond.
Delighted with AC Lloyd’s site team at the Chesterton Gardens site, George Obeng-Manu, development contracts director at Orbit, said: “The quality of our homes is paramount to us and our customers. We work hard to ensure high standards are consistently met and working with AC Lloyd on a number of sites makes this simpler.
“On this occasion we are particularly keen to celebrate the fantastic service delivered by the contractor on two of our sites at Chesterton Gardens and Oakley Grove in Leamington and would like to celebrate the success of our partnership.”
Commenting on the presentation, Alistair Clark, housing director at AC Lloyd, said: “We have worked with Orbit for over 30 years and we are delighted to have been presented with the certificate for excellence for our work on 120 affordable homes across both sites.
“The award is a testament to the hard work and skills of all our staff, our dedicated team of sub-contractors and, in particular, our site manager Tony Wheldon.
“We would like to thank everyone across Orbit’s construction and sales teams who have helped the projects run so smoothly.”
Nick Suttle, contract manager at Orbit, said: “Handovers on site are always stress-free with AC Lloyd, documentation and certificates are always ready and you can be rest assured that there will not be any problems that will cause delays on the day. If only all sites were the same as the ones we have with AC Lloyd, it would make our projects so much easier.”
The schemes have received outstanding feedback from both staff and customers. One customer, who recently moved into a shared ownership property at Chesterton Gardens, said: “I couldn’t thank the teams at Orbit and AC Lloyd enough. I found everyone on site very friendly and approachable with any queries I had along the way and I am sure others feel the same. I am extremely happy with my purchase!”
