Helen has a wide range of operational and strategic leadership skills which she has gained over a 20 year career in IT and Telecomms.
A former Director of customer service at BT Business, Helen is currently MD on the board of Affinity for Business Ltd, an award-winning clean and waste water retailer.
A former Minister for Education and Minister for the Arts, Tessa is a Labour Life peer in the House of Lords. She was Master of Birkbeck College (University College London) and Vice Chancellor of the University of Greenwich. She has been on the governing bodies of numerous organisations, including the Architecture Foundation, Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Trust, and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Tessa currently chairs the British section of the Franco-British Council, British Library, and the British Lung Foundation.
David has over 34 years of experience in the financial services sector, most recently as CEO and Chairman of the Board at Jefferies International in London. David is also an advisor to Strategic Value Partners, an investment firm with assets of approximately $4.9 billion.
David worked in the Ministry of Defence for twenty years before joining the John Lewis Partnership where he became Finance Director and Deputy Chairman. On retiring he chaired the Higher Education Funding Council for England. He is currently Treasurer of the University of Sheffield.
Steve has over 25 years’ experience in various executive roles within the public and private sector. He also has a wealth of non-executive experience across health, regeneration, construction, social housing and finance.
Stephen has over 40 years’ experience in the housing sector including 13 years as CEO of the Peabody Group.
He is also a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, was awarded a CBE in the New Year’s honours in 2018 for services to housing and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for his contribution to architecture and development.
Stephen’s previous appointments include CEO of Amicus Group, CEO of Swale Housing and Director of Policy and Resources and Area Director at Notting Hill Housing Group.
Stephen has enjoyed a long career with Crest Nicholson and was Chief Executive of the company from 2005 to 2018. He moved to the position of Non-Executive Chair at the house builder from April 2019. He was previously Managing Director of Countryside Properties until 1995. Stephen is also a Non-Executive Director at the House Builders Federation, the industry leading lobby group, and the National House Building Council (NHBC). Stephen sits on a number of Government panels, including the Hackitt Review.
Mark has extensive experience leading organisations across different sectors to deliver a high-performance culture, operational excellence and outstanding customer service. His most recent role was as Managing Director at the multi-national construction company, Balfour Beatty PLC, where he led a successful transformation.
Previously, Mark implemented a growth strategy at Peverel Property Services, managing services to 200,000 homes, and helping establish the organisation as the leader in its field. He also held the position of Chief Executive at City West Homes for five years, directing the strategic and cultural development of the organisation to substantially increase performance and drive customer service to sector leading levels.
