Your role at Orbit.

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our busy IT team, working on delivering our business wide transformation.

This role will focus on driving forward our transformation in the Corporate Domain, with key focus on MS Dynamics Finance & Operations and associated applications. We are therefore looking someone with significant MS Dynamics F&O experience in order to develop and progress our D365 and associated finance products.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Act as the subject matter expert/Functional expert for the Finance/Procurement Domain within the Corporate IT Domain, specialising in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Work within Orbits architecture framework to define functional and technical solutions in line with the business and IT strategies and the technology roadmap whilst ensuring architectural recommended practice and legal requirements are adhered to.
  • Ensure project design deliverables conform to architectural principles as defined by the Architecture team. Participate in Design Authority for solution approval, review and quality assurance
  • Ensure solutions are aligned to Orbits wider Business Continuity Plans and are both scalable and resilient to meet desired RPO and RTO and adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Identifying risks and mitigating actions.
  • Responsible for researching and recommending technologies, frameworks and approaches for use by teams on projects.
  • Work with stakeholders to document benefits and costs of solutions and support development of compelling business cases
  • Support solution procurement and ongoing relationships with 3rd party suppliers

What will help you make a difference.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have:

  • Experience of core Finance and Procurement concepts and processes for example: GL, AP, AR, ITC, P2P, FAM, TAX, PMA, SCM and their implementation in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Experience in defining technology roadmaps to support business change activities for the Finance Domain
  • Knowledge of Solution development best practices for D365 and software development lifecycle including Agile methodologies
  • Experience in the use of LCS to manage Dynamics environments
  • Stakeholder management and interaction to ‘C-Suite’, excellent presentation skills
  • D365 Specific experience
    • Microsoft Dynamics365: Core Finance and Operations Exam MB-300
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Exam MB-310/20
    • Or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to convey complex technology concepts to the business and IT stakeholders
  • Experience of working in ambiguous situations to design solutions, working with a range of stakeholders to reach consensus
  • Experienced to lead the design and selection of solutions (systems, technologies and processes) using the knowledge of architects and the wider IT team to ensure holistic solutions
