Orbit is a fantastic business and one that’s really going places.

Orbit was formed in 1967 with the aim of providing good-quality housing for people who would otherwise not be able to afford to buy their own home.

Over 50 years later, we’re one of the leading housing providers in the UK.  Our services have diversified, our housing portfolio has expanded, and our reputation as an innovator within our sector has grown.  But one thing that has never changed.  Our belief in people and what they can achieve.

Your role at Orbit.

With an established track record delivering over 10,000 homes to date and ambition to build a further 8,000 new homes before 2025, Orbit is one of the country’s major housing developers. We also have an exciting strategic partnership with Homes England to deliver, with a funding package of some £129 million.

Our activities as a housing group ensure that we have an annual surplus that we reinvest into building more homes where people love to live and nurturing communities that thrive.  That’s the difference when you work in construction at Orbit.  You are part of an organisation that believes in its customers and its people, and what they can achieve together.

We are recruiting a permanent Site Manager to manager our build operations at a development in Enstone.  We have a good number of developments in progress, numerous sites due to commence and a strong landbank for direct build and other contracted schemes.

As one of our Site Manager’s you’ll oversee the management of new build residential sites ensuring the construction of a quality product, in a safe manner, within agreed budgets and timescales and working closely with our sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will manage and coordinate trades, sub-contractors, materials and utility providers to ensure an efficient method of build in line with construction programme, quality and agreed cost standards.

You will ensure that all work is scheduled to ensure production targets are achieved and a high quality of product is maintained and that build drawings and specifications are adhered to.

In controlling subcontractors, suppliers and employee’s there will be the need to provide additional information and handle any problems or delays to achieve the best outcome.

Naturally, you’ll be the lead figure in health and safety, risk assessments, method statements and quality control.  You’ll have direct liaison with sales, commercial and technical departments to ensure that programmes and delivered to the highest specification to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction.

What will help you make a difference.

You’ll be an accomplished site manager or assistant site manager ready for the next step with a wealth of experience building residential developments and new homes.  You’ll be able to demonstrate the delivery of quality sites that have achieved agreed milestones, budgets and safe delivery.

You will be a good problem solver that is solutions orientated with exceptional planning abilities.

We’ll need you to have CSCS Managers card, SMSTS and relevant first aid and health and safety training.
