Orbit is a fantastic business and one that’s really going places.
Orbit was formed in 1967 with the aim of providing good-quality housing for people who would otherwise not be able to afford to buy their own home.
Over 50 years later, we’re one of the leading housing providers in the UK. Our services have diversified, our housing portfolio has expanded, and our reputation as an innovator within our sector has grown. But one thing that has never changed. Our belief in people and what they can achieve.
Your role at Orbit.
We believe in people, and what they can achieve. Every year, we invest around £5 million back into our communities, with the aim of inspiring and empowering them to succeed on their own terms. An innovative and ambitious team, we look to lead the way in the UK when it comes to integrating social investment into the housing sector.
We have a vacancy working within our Thriving Communities team for a Monitoring and Impact Co-ordinator. The Thriving Communities team plays a key role at Orbit, funding and managing a range of projects including those relating to mental health, digital skills, employment, and financial inclusion.
The Monitoring and Impact Coordinator role will see you providing coordination of Orbit’s monitoring and impact, ensuring compliance with contract delivery across the Fund, supporting new partners in monitoring and impact reporting and collating all information to enable easy utilisation of data and cases studies for Board reporting, external reporting and PR.
You will also work across the Thriving Communities team, providing support on 'what works’ across programmes, research and best practice from partners and sectors. This includes analysis on effectiveness of our Better Days programme.
What will help you make a difference.
You will be working with a very motivated and driven team in a varied and fast paced working environment, so you’ll need to have the confidence to work on your own initiative and work to deadlines. You will also be supporting future Thriving Communities decisions by preparing data to help with future bids, meaning you’ll need excellent analytical and Excel skills. Crucially, you will have a genuine interest in community and passion for supporting vulnerable groups.
We know that an inclusive environment makes us more accessible and ensures we attract, engage, promote and retain great people. We welcome applications from all individuals regardless of background, age, gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity/nationality, religious belief, faith or disability. As part of our Armed Forces Covenant commitment, we welcome ex-services professionals to consider career opportunities at Orbit.
Rewarding your contribution.
For those who want or need more of a work life balance our view is that this role is suitable for WorkSmart. This means we would consider a more flexible working arrangement, where your hours and work location are managed according to business, customer and personal needs. Agile working arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.
Some of our core benefits include:
