Orbit is a fantastic business and one that’s really going places.
Orbit was formed in 1967 with the aim of providing good-quality housing for people who would otherwise not be able to afford to buy their own home.
Over 50 years later, we’re one of the leading housing providers in the UK. Our services have diversified, our housing portfolio has expanded, and our reputation as an innovator within our sector has grown. But one thing that has never changed. Our belief in people and what they can achieve.
Your role at Orbit.
We’re looking for an Estates Cleaning Operative to join our busy Property/Estate Services team to provide a high quality cleaning service to communal areas.
This role includes cleaning, litter picking, changing bins, reporting issues and improvements – putting the safety and security of our Customers and visitors first. The indoor communal areas of our schemes can include lifts, stairwells, floors, walls and windows, bin stores and shoot rooms, and all outdoor spaces surrounding the schemes.
A full driving licence is essential for this role as it requires mobile travel between schemes.
What will help you make a difference.
To be successful for the role of Estates Cleaning Operative, you will need a full driving licence in order to travel between schemes. You will have experience as a cleaning operative in a similar setting, and have the capability to operate machinery and equipment such as floor cleaning apparatus. You will be willing to work indoors and outdoors throughout the seasons, and be able to work effectively alone and alongside team members.
