Your role at Orbit.

We are looking to recruit a Commercial Administrator to support the team and our activities within the Commercial & Private Rental sector division.  The team deliver c£24 million in annual profits; profits that we can invest straight back into creating affordable homes, and services that help communities thrive.

The Commercial Administrator will provide effective administrative support to the team to ensure the proper performance of our commercial contract activities, private rental schemes and other commercial projects. 

You will deal with the updating and maintenance of our housing management system, ensuring that data is accurate and kept up to date.  You will act as a key link between IT, housing management, finance and the external managing agent for queries around the system, data and finances for the commercial projects.

You will be responsible for coordinating the administrative arrangements for meetings including arranging venues, the preparation of agenda’s and production of minutes and assigning appropriate follow actions to relevant parties.

As a key point of contact for customers you will process private rental applications and create relevant tenancy agreements and payments in addition to handling customer enquiries via our digital contact application.

At times you will be required to support the Lettings Manager in providing a high standard of Private Rental Services, including undertaking ownership of tasks during absences and liaising with contractors and tenants on site when required

What will help you make a difference.

We seek a capable administrator with experience of providing administrative support in the lettings, estate agency or property sector.  You will be familiar with handling customer enquiries and complaints over the phone, in person or in writing and be able to provide solutions or resolutions in a timely manner.  It is hoped that you will have previous experience in administering applications, agreements, payments, invoices and reports.

You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be experienced in administering databases, contracts and agreements.
