People and Strategy

Our belief in people – and their enormous potential – is at the heart of everything we do here at Orbit. So it’s fitting that our People Directorate has the broadest remit of any of our departments. Everything we do is about challenging the status quo to make things better for each individual – whether they work with us, or live in the communities we help thrive.

Our work is hugely varied. From engagement with politicians, trade bodies and key publications, to research strategy and brand management across our diverse portfolio and community investment initiatives, we’re working to deliver more for every single person who lives in an Orbit home, be they tenant or owner. Our people are our most valued asset. So the work of our HR, people development and training teams helps to ensure the wellbeing and advancement of every one of us is vital to our future success.

It’s an exciting place to be, full of passionate people doing important work in culture where doors are open, ideas are shared, and individual endeavour is acknowledged and rewarded.

Strategy & Brand

As a department, our belief in people is clear. A diverse and highly skilled team of marketers and comms professionals, we utilise each others’ expertise (and our growing data sets) to reshape our insights and create ground-breaking ways of working.

We spend every day thinking up new ways to enhance the lives of our customers, to support our colleagues in sales, and to raise the profile of what we do. We like to challenge the status quo, trial new technologies and shake up the market with our new approach and new products.

What’s more, because Orbit delivers private sale, social and supported housing, as well as multi-million pound community investment initiatives, there’s real variety in the marketing we produce.

The value of each individual contribution from our team members cannot be overestimated. Every person makes the team stronger and our ideas more diverse, inclusive, original and robust. So we’ll value your input and invest in your future. Regular reviews, workshops and highly individual personal development plans are the backbone of a career at Orbit.
